Full Stack Developer
My name is Noah Spahn, and I am a Computer Engineer that studied at Boston University. I have an enthusiasm for the world of accessible design and innovation. I work on creating products that improve the lives of those who live with visible and invisible disabilities. I love Full-Stack work because building quality applications are built on how users experience interacting with the backend functionality.

Education

Boston University

September 2021
Bachelors

I studied at Boston University from September of 2019 to September of 2021. I found a community-driven to build cool projects, and I used this basis to develop my passion for accessible design. At BU, I launched a tool to correct nystagmus with AI-controlled lenses to compensate for the user's natural swing. This process worked by tracking the pupil and shifting light given the pupils' position. In 2019 I also competed in the 2019 SpaceApps Hackathon, and my team took second place for our VR educational app that we developed with AFrame in 24 hours.

Work Experience

JustDev Studios

June 2021 - Current
Game Developer

I joined JustDev Studios in June of 2021 and have been wearing multiple hats, which is my favorite experience as an engineer. I first acted as the first full-stack engineer in expanding my web presence and creating an online store. I also worked with the development lead to develop new scripts and enhance the performance of current assets. My key contributions in this role include:

  • Initiated Ecommerce application, increasing accessory revenue by over 150%.
  • Slashed application administration costs by 35% by reorganizing development structure.

Serra Project

May 2020 - September 2015
Chief Technical Engineer

In 2016 I started leading the engineering team in the development of a device to correct nystagmus. We built our design on a 2004 VA study into motorized optical lens compensation. Our unique approach was to integrate an open-source eye tracker to reduce material costs and make a mobile appliance possible. My key contributions during this role included:

  • Initiated the Nastagmus Initiative, a project to correct nystagmus through AI lens compensation
  • Building an online portal for project status reporting and fundraising
Co-Founder / Project Manager

In 2015 I Co-Founded the Serra Project with my Co-Founder Kayla Serra. We started the organization to tackle issues related to degrading mobility tools and access to mobility technology. To start this company, we got received grant funding from the Emerson College Incubator Fund. My key contributions during this role included:

  • Instigated $5000+ grant acquisition for startup business development
  • Managed engineering teams during development/launch of “Fix Kit” in 2016
